When is Antichrist revealed?

The Day of Deception in 2nd Thessalonians Chapter Two
In 2nd Thessalonians, Paul continues to develop the theme of the day of the Lord (deception rf. Mat.22:8-14), but always keeping in mind that it does not relate to members of the church (review 1Th.5:3-11).
Let no one deceive you by any means; for that day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition. The day of the Lord cannot come until two things happen. What are the two things? There has to be a falling away. And the man of sin has to be revealed.
Quick question. Is there going to be apostasy in the church before the Antichrist comes? Yes, we're seeing it, but that's not what he's talking about. The word “aphistēmi” occurs 16 times besides this. Each time it occurs, it simply means “departure.” In other words, it only means apostasy when it comes with the phrase apostasy “from the faith.”
The question then, is "Departure from what?" He's referring to the one in verse one. The coming of our Lord and our gathering together to Him. I believe it's a reference to the rapture of the church. If we take it that way, then it tells us that Antichrist cannot come on the scene until the rapture of the church has taken place.
Salvation comes only by Grace through faith in Jesus Christ, and only in Him alone. Especially if you've been left behind, learn about "The Simplicity of Salvation" here:
