I’m 74 and twice voted for Bernie in presidential primaries. Yes, I voted for Hillary and Joe in the general election, but wasn’t thrilled about it because neither of them would buck the party’s big money donors. I respect Carville’s experience and agree with him most of the time. However, I disagree with his Bernie assessment. He lost in 2016 and 20 because the DNC establishment sabotaged him. First, Wasserman-Schultz, then Clyburn. Bernie would have mopped the floor with Trump, because his policies are what everyday Americans want.

I voted for Trump twice but not in 2024. Bernie Sanders is what we need. Workers need wages to go up and the wealthy need their taxes to go up. Every developed nation on earth has universal healthcare for all citizens. The United States needs these things too. The only reason that Bernie Sanders did not win in 2016 and 2020 was because the entire Democratic Party leadership and the entire media apparatus United against him and they gave us Donald Trump, whether willingly or unwilling. It’s time for America to join the rest of the world and take care of its people.
