I didn't realize the engine only cared about the 4:3 ratio, rather than the actual pixel count. Does the same principle apply to the side view battlers? I've always hated the way the default SV characters looks, but if I don't need to match the pixel size, that expands my options greatly.

Really liked this tutorial. Short and clear to the point. I especially liked the part about the gradient editing as I want some more variation in colours for the characters in my game. Glad you are producing these short tutorials, I've got something from each one.

Just wondering what type of file is needed in order to put it in the game, because I am uploading my drawings from my iPad (From ibisPaintX) to the computer, but they won't let me put them in the game.

Are we able to make character art bigger than 48 pixels across each? I was hoping to make character art that was at least 150 across. I got this program for Christmas and I'm trying to learn all I can.

What do you use to make the pixel art itself? Is there a software?

But can the sprites themselves be any resolution (like rpg maker 2000 sized sprites) and still be importable into rpg maker MZ?

If I may ask, I've seen in other videos that character sprites can do more than 3 frames horizontally allowing for smoother walking animation. Is that some sort of plug in? Does RPG Maker inherently support more than 3 frames walk cycle?

Is there a way to remove the shadows the game puts over the characters? Like if I am making my own it looks super weird with their shadows on it as well.

I can’t find anywhere that has rules about using licensed characters. If I want to use a character from Nintendo or something, what do I need to know?

Sorry for my English. I'm desperate, I need help. I used a template to draw over my character. The game works when I use the base template. But when he used my edit character the game crashes (Is it because of the resolution? or the colors palette? I would like you to help me. Please.
