Drone survey of my Western White Pine's (Pinus monticola)

My property (Shoreline, WA) is home to a mature grove of Western White Pine's. These tree's hold a "Near Threatened" status - and are facing a multitude of impacts due to bugs, blister rust, and climate change.

In particular, some people think the 'longer summers' brought on by climate change are contributing to the sudden - and rapid - decline of these once hardy and prolific trees.

Their decline is not well-understood. We need more data and more research.

This footage was captured using DJI's Mavic-2 drone. The camera stabilization gimbal is seriously impressive!
