my PET machine - full process

"my PET machine" recycles plastic bottles and converts them into 3D printer filament. This project uses pultrusion to pull and reshape stripped, polyethylene terephthalate (PET) based plastic bottles through a hot extruder. This machine is meant to encourage the use of recycled filament over newly produced plastic filament like PLA, PETG, ABS, and PP.

How do you splice your filament? Mine always tend to jam at the joint

I've built a similar pet recycling machine also but everytime i start to pull it thru the hotend it snaps. i've drilled the hotend out and done everything that all the other pet machines have done but it still snaps. I haven't even been able to attach it to my winder because of this issue. I heard you say something about yours snaping aswell while going thru the hotend. can you offer up any advice for me????
