Benelli was indeed aquired by Keeway...they asked Benelli to design the bikes and they build them in china to keep it cheaper, BUT, with people from benelli there to make sure the quality is good... it's still not as good as the big brands, but this for sure isn't the typical chinese bike that breaks something or starts to leak as soon as it leaves the dealer lol

Holy shit those bikes are AWESOME, lol.

I miss the old classic style like my Honda CB450. You want something like that today your options are very limited, you can go Bonnie but then you have almost 1k cc's and 500lbs - not the same, or you can get a good weight loss with the Guzzi V7 - which is an awesome bike, but the buck kind of stops there....

The new CB500's are more sport bikes than anything else. They're not as aggressively positioned as the supersports, but they have a position & styling like a sportbike (ie. S1000R, shapes and everything all resonate that).

These bikes look awesome for getting around town - I've never heard of the company, but now I'm really interested in one!

Who makes the engine, SSR themselves?

I'm totally for more brands in America. Especially 250cc bikes. At $3, 400 I'm thinking this is in the Lifan, CSC, Dongfeng, Cleveland Cyclewerks territory. For me I'd rather choose a SYM or Kymco. I'm thinking that K-Pipe in the background would run much longer than this SSR?!

The chinese ruined the soul of Benelli. So bland bikes compared to a Tornado for example.
