Wilds stages controlled prairie burn

The Wilds staged a controlled prairie burn Friday afternoon to study how native grasses regenerate after a fire. Rebecca Swab, director of restoration and ecology at the Muskingum County conservation park, said the Wilds will compare this burned area to another that is simply mowed. It is part of a research project by Ohio State School of Environmental and Natural Resources student Rachael Glover.
