At first I was a bit confused because I thought Jay was gonna say I can never choose to love another". It didn't make sense because Jay is the one madly in love with Nya and and it took Nya a while to love Jay too if I remembered correctly. But then I realized this was set on Dragons Rising where Jay lost his memories. Meaning he doesn't remember Nya, which makes it soo sad. Because it's kinda like their roles switched, where Nya is in love with Jay but Jay is taking his time to love her like Nya did before because he doesn't remember loving her.
