Roosevelt was the first president to directly and routinely speak to the public. By inference compute I believe he means the chips that are inside the cars, and the total hypothetically available compute available. I think you misunderstood. The chips that are in the cars could potentially be used as distributed network, running AI inference models. The data centres will train the models.

u got the Part with the inference compute wrong sam... Thats the compute in the driving-chip that is inside every Tesla and is not training the FSD but using the software.

I decided to pull the trigger during the weekend, test drove both model Y and model 3 yesterday. Ordered the model 3 LR AWD today. 2-6 weeks before delivery. Decided not to care about the missing stalks. I am sure I will feed the system with conflicting data when exiting round abouts.

Sam, when you said he was building to many cars. I yelled at the screen, "He's building the FSD Taxi fleet"! Sam, what's better than having a cheap, low maintenance car. No car at all! Once the Robo Taxi fleet hits the road. All those living in apartments and Condos that don't have a way to charge an inexpensive car and Landlords will lag behind in installing EV charging infrastructure. Robo Taxis will be what? 50 cents a mile? Everyone that can, will get rid of their cars! Robo Taxis will be so networked, that rush hour will see Taxis picking up multiple people. Imagine rush hour freeway with multiple people in every car. No more traffic jams, without adding more lanes! Robo taxi has more pros then we can think of.

I think that this huge power compute will be required also for teaching Optimus "brain" (from various videos sources) and training for different types of roles and tasks, and dealing with any possible situation in the real world

Challenging my Model Y with new driving experiences has not reached the training system fast enough. Dumb mistakes persist.
Rural roads, countryside, and signage vary considerably, including wildlife.
The new training capacity should fix this. Charging facility shortage keeps Teslas out of many places, yet to be experienced, also limiting training.

Have you compared Tesla‘s investment with Apple‘s, Microsoft‘s, Meta‘s, or Oracle‘s? IMO only when you have these numbers you could possibly be jubilant about Tesla‘s.
