How to Allow users to run only specific programs on Windows® 7

For those who are locked out, run search field and find \system32\GroupPolicy\User\ and DELETE registry.pol, check also system32\GroupPolicy\Machine\ and DELETE registry.pol if you see it there too. Reboot your PC and log-in into your admin account and create a user account with admin privileges. Log-in to that new admin account and open gpedit.msc and correct your mistake. Disable it so it applies to other users in your computer too. This solution was posted by Greylox. Hey I did it, but accidentally enabled it and didn't put anything in the type box. I am now restricted and can not change the settings due to restrictions. Can u plz help???

In Home Premium there is no gpedit instead you must use Parental Controls.

I think this will prevent the admin as well from having full privilige, I think a third party solution will help.

oh how toget rid from now . i allow only chrome . now i cant undo . how todo ..

I just locked admin out too, cant do anything.
