I bought the Lello Gelato 4070 about eighteen years ago, used it about five times, and put it away. With all the hype of the Ninja Creami, I thought I would take the Lello out of the garage. Took it out, cleaned it up and it still works great and the vanilla ice cream is delicious. The model you have looks fantastic! I may get one when my old one goes kaput. Great video!

Can you show what it looks like after it has been in the freezer and is properly solidified? This comes out as soft serve, but I would like to see how structured it looks after a night in the freezer. Thanks!

Coffee is the best and strawberry is to die for. I use my lello once or twice a week..always double the vanilla and add one tablespoon of vodka..

did you figure out how to turn off the ticking timer early? or do you let it tick till the end? does turning off the machine screw up the timer?

If you don't want to sleep in it's near, there is no point in turning that tickling timer off.
Probably it works like the old tea-timers which you can turn forwards/backwards in the needed position.
But I dont want to "overscrew" it's mechanical elements, so mine stays tickling.

2 years later, how are you liking your Lello 4080 Musso Lussino Ice Cream Maker? There's a new machine on scene, the Ninja Creami Deluxe. Yes, the Ninja is made with a lot of plastic but could it give the Lello a run for its money? You're the expert! Inquiring minds want to know. Just sayin'....

I am wanting to make sugar free ice cream with like monk fruit or stevia or a little bit of both - just vanilla, chocolate or strawberry or whatever. I can't get whatever flavors I want in sugar free ice creams

How does this ice cream maker compare to the Cuisinart stainless steel ice cream maker? You have to freeze the bowl first but does it matter? The Cuisinart is smaller.

When you taste the ice cream you say there are no crystals, but crystals are formed when it's frozen not when it's still in the machine...
