A beautiful movie star Laura Dern was born in Los Angeles in a family of successful actors. As a child, she was interested in ballet and wanted to pursue a career in that industry but due to health reasons, she had to change occupation. In such a way, she got engaged into the moviemaking industry.
She first appeared on TV alongside her mother in 1974 in a movie called White Lightning. After that she was immediately noticed and so, was simply piled up with multiple offers from producers. The film performer’s father Bruce is a well-known figure in the moviemaking business. He can be seen in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Nebraska and other hit films. Bruce was married thrice with Marie Dean being his first spouse. In 1960 he tied the knot with Laura’s mother Diane Ladd but within 9 years they divorced. Just a few months after the official divorce, Bruce married Andrea Beckett.

The mother Diane is also a very popular person, who deals with directing, producing and acting. After the divorce with Bruce, she walked down the aisle with a man named Robert Hunter. The couple lives happily in California. The mother and a stellar daughter share a tight bond and love spending time together.

Dern had only one sibling, a sister Diane Elizabeth, who was delivered in 1960. She died tragically at the age of just 18 months, having suffered head injuries after falling into a pool.

Coming closer to the celebrity’s personal life, it is no secret that she was married only once to a singer Ben Harper. They met at a concert in 2000 and after five years of dating got married. In 2010 they filed for a divorce but then reconciled. In 2013 they broke up again and divorce was finalized. This marriage resulted in two kids, who Dern and Harper co-parent.

Laura’s firstborn son Ellery was welcomed in 2001. The actress once shared that as a child, Ellery had a life-threatening surgery. Nowadays, he is a model and aspiring fashion designer.

In 2004 a daughter Jaya became a cute addition to the family. She can be often seen alongside her famous mother at different public events or shows.
