No Stirrup November: Don’t Do It

Damn, I have never given much thought regarding No Stirrup November and how damaging it can be to horses D:
Maybe you should make a fun video about what exercises could be done instead?

Where I ride we say: no saddle November or No selfish November and the last one means: we should not only care about ONE Horse, no we care about one horse but if someone asks you to help them you do that, if you see that one of the Horses has an injury or anything like that you HELP. Easy.

I never heard about this alteration for the no-stirrups-November. What is even the point? It is not no-stirrups!

Some time ago I saw a woman Riding in a thin saddle (without tree - similar to the gear you use to longe them) with stirrups attached to them. She claimed it was 100% harmless to horses and her horses see a chiropractic regularly and he said that they are healthy as well. I had a bad feeling about this "saddle" - so thank you for proving my opinion by having the samd

I don’t have to worry about no stirrup November since 90% of the time I’m bareback because the Haflingers that I ride don’t have a saddle that fits them properly because we would need to turn a tractor tire onto saddle at that point so I just ride bareback it’s fun

The fact that some people do this just scares me, if you're doing no struup November. Take off your syrups. Leave them in your chat room, then hop onto your horse and ride with no syrups. And maybe not breaking the withers? Thank you. We don't want horses dying here

How do you feel about regular no stirrups, like where you take them completely off the saddle?
I won't cross them over because they bounce and it seems uncomfortable for the horse, but I really enjoy short bouts of no stirrups at all, I actually ride better without them, haha, especially canter...
I would never do what that video clip is suggesting, WTF?
I mean bareback pads SHOULD NOT have stirrups for this very reason, it focuses the pressure on one small area...

Well, this exercice really looks stupid. "No stirrups" means NO (!) stirrups !!! And by the way one can ride without stirrups or bareback from time to time all year long ... 🤔
