You bake his favorite cake for his birthday. Why does he also bake his favorite cake for your birthday? I mean what he’s doing is nice, and he’s really trying, but why don’t you gently ask if maybe you could bake your favorite cake together for your birthday or something like that? I think that would be nice. And then he can begin baking your favorite cake for your birthday.

wtf, thats a communication issue, for example my wife knows i dont like chocolate and my favourite one is carrot cake, its basic knowledge to know what foods the other likes, just tell him you wanna try other flavours and make some new cakes together
