Pepsi and coca-cola both own equal shares in each other. This is called circular ownership. And because of this the "rivalry" between them is just an illusion. If Pepsi does well, then coca-cola makes money. And I'd coca-cola does well then Pepsi makes money. It's all a marketing tactic.

Facts;
Pepsico didnt sold their Food Service Industry (KFC, Taco B and Pizza H), they tore it into 2 different company one with KFC and Pizza for oversea services and second retain all of them but only of US market.
