Packers vs. Eagles | Week 1 Highlights

The Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Green Bay Packers, 34-29, to open the 2024 NFL season in Brazil.

RB Saquon Barkley scored three touchdowns in his electric Eagles debut. WR A.J. Brown scored a touchdown, while racking up over 100 receiving yards, and LB Zack Baun led the defense with 2 sacks and 11 tackles.

It wasn’t perfect. But the defense played much more klller instinct when it mattered. After three terrible turnover; they only gave up 9 total points. That’s huge. Offense put them in bad spots and they showed up. I especially like the sack on the last play of the game. Thank God for no 3 man sit back and pray efforts. Nice win. GB is a really good team.

This was a good game. I am genuinely happy with Kellen Moore's offensive system. Jalen has to clean up his turnovers but I am not worried about him. That will be his last multiple turn over game this season. I trust his work ethic and willingness to learn. I am pissed that Sirrianni didn't play them in the pre season. They have a new OC, new offensive line configuration, and new weapons on offense. They needed reps.

Saquon was utterly fantastic. Unbelievable. We need to feed him and never stop.

The defense looks significantly better. It was a high scoring game but it felt different from last year. They started off great. I think they will do better as the season continues. We got linebackers!!!! I am Very pleased with Vangio and his play calling. We had some missed tackles but definitely not as bad as last year. I am optimistic and excited.

I didn't understand why people were complaining about the crowd, maybe NFL production messed up the audio mixing, because brazilians are LOUD, really, LOUD, especially when historical events like a first NFL game in Brazil happens, the hype was super high. The crowd was screaming the whole game (you can hear them in the brazilian broadcast), maybe the USA TV broadcast had a different audio mixing, or the commentary was too loud compared to the volume of the crowd?

That's sad because the only thing we brazilians could show to the world was our hype during a match like that, and the broadcast didn't show it, even though it happened.
