Iran is ‘ducking for cover’ amid escalating Israel-Lebanon conflict

Curtin University’s Dean of Global Futures Joe Siracusa says Iran is “ducking for cover” amid the escalating conflict between Israel and Lebanon.

This follows Israel’s airstrike on a central Beirut apartment complex.

“I think Iran has been a bit of a house of cards,” Mr Siracusa told Sky News Australia.

“They’ve used these other groups to run interference for themselves, and now they’re ducking for cover.

“I think the Iranians are going to have to change gears here.”

It should have been obvious to anyone and everyone that Israel must go on the offensive to be successful. Should have done so a long time ago. Of course, the world always tries to stop Israel from actually winning a war, claiming humanitarian and other concerns. Considering they never say a peep about Sudan, for example, which has a far longer and deeper crisis, with 10 million displaced, it's safe to ignore their hypocrisy and double standards. Fortunately Israel, by showing strength, resolve and determination, is doing just that.
