Cheers for the suggestions. A lot of channels regurgitate the same teams. There's a couple of interesting picks here. Other older teams include Sevilla, Inter, Lazio and Roma. West Ham to a lesser extent. All this according to the Football Observatory. Great stats and articles available if you look the organisation up.

Hertha are always my first save and I guess it's more interesting this year. Moneybags is gone and a smart recruitment policy is in their best interests to stabilise.

My first career in fm24 is going to be a rebuild of Wisla Krakow, a historic polish team stuck in the 2nd tier.

Atletico Madrid is a club I would have never thought of to rebuild. Putting it on my list after Hertha Berlin, Lyon, and Ajax.

Not necessarily a rebuild but zwolle would be a good save to do considering how the town was saved in ww2 i think ot would be a great save for a history buff like me 😊

My 2024 team in FM is Ajax rebuild, they are terrible right now, way down the league, losing some key players in the summer, I'm going to take them to the top again, and winning everything.

Chester F.C. - Chester City was plagued with financial trouble since 1980's. It was Relegated from League Football in 2009 to the National League. It's relegation caused such financial distress from decades of mismanagement by "a string of mad, bad, and sad owners" that a court ordered it to be dissolved and its assets sold to pay creditors. Every attempt to save it, including an attempt to join the Welsh Premier League when the National League elected to remove them because of cancelled games and their inability to fund itself. The Fans immediately began the process of creating a phoenix club, owned entirely by the fans.

Chester F.C. compete in The National North. Their inability to climb any higher than 3rd (22-23, lost to Brackley Town in the playoff semi) and a very recent reminder of the horror of Relegation OUT of the National League North in 17-18 are in very stark contrast to their Relegation partner as Chester City in Luton Town.... Yes, Luton Town. Chester City died, and Luton Town stepped over its corpse like Allen Iverson on its way to the Premier League.

YOUR MISSION! Walking into the roll of Manager and defacto DOF, is to survive the yearly elections for a new Chairman from amongst the Fans who own the club... and to claw Chester FC back to the opportunity to silence the songs, and defeat Wrexham in their Leagues, and race them to the Premier League. You have zero debt, zero reputation outside of being a line in that catchy Wrexham song, and no ability or Funds to attract players who would consider dropping down. Thankfully, you have horrible facilities and sponsorship money will be tough to come by! Horray!

You will be alone in the responsibility to raise and manage funds, attract players, and somehow develop what talent you can attract to train and sell without the facilities to do so.
