Dawn was introduced in 1973. This may have been one of the very first ads (note that it said "Available in Limited Areas" at the end of the commercial)

The younger wife in the commercial is actress Janet Mclaughlin. I just saw her in an episode of The Rockford Files, earlier today.

Dawn smelled so good back in the 70's and 80's....it now has a weird chemical smell.

Dawn was and still is an excellent detergent/degreaser. Ecolab's equivalent Pan-Tastic works the same and smells great.

That's when Dawn was one of the top/best dishwashing liquids on the market. They messed around and changed the formula...smh

I think the older lady had a long-running role on a soap opera around that same time, though I can't remember which one. She looks very familiar.
