Показать описание
The point (-3, -1) is on the terminal side of angle theta. In order to find all 6 trigonometric functions for this angle, a sketch is drawn of the angle and the values of x and y are identified. The Pythagorean Theorem is used to find the value of r. Once x, y, and r are known, then the sine, cosine, and tangent values are found using their definitions in terms of x, y, and r. The cosecant, secant, and cotangent values are found using their definitions in terms of reciprocal functions. In this problem it was not required to rationalize the denominator of the answers.
