My Fab (or one of) HANDS down. Eng dub is really well done - love the story hands down. Made a big impact on me.

i actually loved the English WAY better than the Japanese (this coming from a bilingual)

This and Tenchi were my first real introductions to anime. Even though I left the anime hobby behind, I still think of El-Hazard fondly. I sold off much of my collection, but I will keep my El-Hazard manga and dougin (fan magazines) and RPG book, and CDs with me until the day I die.
And I wish the sequel and Alternative were either better or not made at all. Wanderers was a great series as well.
