@the3d3storoy3r It's very rare and needs very specific conditions. The water needs to be completely clear with no sediment--areas that have experienced no rain/runoff for awhile in arctic/alpine regions--and the water needs to freeze at a certain rate under calm conditions (no wind) that prevents it from forming impurities. These are very rare conditions so this is something that happens only once every several decades in very isolated remote regions. It only lasts for a few days bc if there is any melting/refreezing it will destroy the clarity.
