If Wheeler, Matz, and Syndergaard can stay healthy, then that’s a rotation that can carry a team with deGrom as the Ace. Next GM for the Mets has to bring in some new bats that Alderson never went out and courted. Machado and Harper are out of the question. Wilpon will never approve the money for one of them. But a guy like McCutchen could make a difference while he is still on the right side of his 30s. Mets need a 3B and another OF. Even AJ Pollock would be a nice pickup.
