It's true that BeReal had issues with scale at the beginning (since everyone was posting at the same time). I'm all for backend-as-service tools though, I would definitely not recommend K8s for a small ish team

seems like firebase cloud firestore doesn’t support multi region? it does support multi server in same region but no multi region like one in tokyo other one in london.

I just found too much latency to fetch data in opposite side of globe. im pretty sure there is way around this like cloudflare workers edge caching or whatever but just too tired to configure as hobby developer.
