I don't understand the reason why the match referee favored Canada.
In the first goal, the Canadian player clearly charged at the American defender, and the contact between the USA goalkeeper against the Canadian forward should never have been called as a penalty. It was a simple contact as a result of the play, without any bad faith on the part of any of the players.
It's good that Naeher dressed as a hero and righted the result.
