“Heat Treated Frame. Do not drill or weld”. To hell with replacing a rail due to a crack. I’ve done over a dozen of them and not one has come back. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Carry on Wayno

Big boys, big toys, big tools with knowhow can get manly stuff done. It sure ain’t crocheting. Nice work Wayno! Obtw, that guitar riff was killer.

Nice repair and paint job, not to mention the radiator as well bud! That was a small crack, but better now. 40 or 50 years ago I was motoring along in the 7UP Co. International Loadstar with about 50 thousand pounds of soda pop on board and heard a loud clang/ping noise, thought a bullet went through the cab. Pulled over, discovered the driver side frame rail between the cab and the load body had broken from the bottom flange, all the way to the top flange, which was all that was still together. The crack was about a 1/2 inch wide at the bottom! I motored very gently about 5 miles to the machine shop. They jacked it up til the crack closed. V'd it out and welded it. Then welded plate steel over the crack on both sides and the bottom flange. I was on my way in less than 2 hours.

You're like me always seem to follow the idiots fixing their shit. Looking perfect is not as important as it's done right. You do it right! I always do my own work cause ya can't trust anyone any more. Great work I hope you're proud of this cause it's awesome!

I will admit, I'm not a smart man. I would have just jacked up the frame until the cracks kissed, grabbed a horrible fright welder, and good enough. But Wayne has shown me why I'm not a fabricator. I'd have never thought of a liner to strengthen it. But, it makes total sense. Wayne, thanks for educating a Gump like me.

Nice work 💁‍♂️😉👍 Wayne-O!! 💪 Better to have placed a liner inside the frame anyways. Better strength, no doubt. Need to buy some merc from you guys soon, as well. “Ol 2 Stroker” getting it done.

Done both rails past the sleeper once upon a time on a K100 with 8 air bags. I decided after that I would let someone else do it next time if there was a need to do that again.

They probably cut the frame because the motor mounts were bad and rubbed a hole in the cooler. When they changed the cooler it was probably still close so they just hacked up the frame instead of fixing the motor and transmission mount. You always do a great job. Your 359 and trailer are my favorite. One day I’m gonna find me one like yours.

it's a good thing you look over your rig, lot of truckers don't do their pre-trip

Hey Wayne, an old painters trick. Instead of using tape to mask all the lines, it's much easier and faster to wrap the tricky stuff in tinfoil and just rape at the ends.
Your welcome.

Good thing you were wearing your welding crocs! 🤣

Wayno I really appreciate the amount of hassle/effort that you go through filming and editing this stuff, having to rip apart half the truck just to fix one thing or another...
