TCU Students, Fans Express Appreciation For Football Coach Gary Patterson 1 Day After Parting Ways W

The university said it came to a mutual agreement to part ways with Gary Patterson on Sunday.

It' a private institution focused primarily on Academics and he carved out a nice niche along with making TCU a viable big-time job. Salute and good luck if he decides to continue coaching.

To be fair Dennis Franchione's the guy that got that program turned around in the late 90's. Don't get me wrong Patterson defiantly built off that and took it to another level. But what Fran did for that program shouldn't be forgotten. From 1961-1997 they were one of the most dismal programs in all of college football. A complete laughing stock who usually found themselves at the bottom of the old SWC year in and year out.

21 years he could have easily went big time ou Texas lsu auburn but stayed TCU thank you mr Patterson u put ft worth on the map and a dire strait program back to contention. TCU will regret letting him go no big 5 coaches will go there lol u should try art briles or some good high school coach maybe they can rehire the whacker guy. The Big 12 when Texas and Oklahoma leave it will become big nothing. To Texas and Oklahoma sec football u two big time right i see vandy and Arkansas written on u two maybe 20 years u can do something probably not lol.
