UPDATE APRIL 2020: So this projector is probs best only for kids. Although it does project an image that can be seen, the quality isn't exactly the best so If you are looking for something to watch your films/Netflix/play games etc on then I would recommend the following projector:

All projectors i have reviewed so far:

► HOW TO CONNECT YOUR PHONE:
Apple/IOS Devices:
You will need an OFFICIAL Apple lightning to hdmi adaptor and any HDMI cable.
Connect your ios device to the lightning connector. Attach a HDMi cable to the HDMI output on the apple adaptor and then to the projector. All done!

► Android Phones:
You can either connect via cable or casting. (Casting only works if your phone supports mirroring.)
For cable connections you will need an MHL adaptor. (Either micro usb to HDMI or USB-c to HDMi depending on your phone connection.)
However the best way is to cast your phone via either a Google Chromcast (or any cast stick) or an Amazon fire stick.
Plug in the fire stick into the projector. Press and hold the home button on the amazon remote. Go to "Display and Sounds" Select "enable screen mirroring". On your android phone pull down the settings option and look for screen sharing/mirror phone options. Select the amazon fire stick (or whatever you have named your fire stick) and you are done!

Bought one to project my digital drawings on a canvas and retrace it rescalling the size. Resolution is bad but it kinda works for the purpose.

could you show step by step how to connect the cables? and connection from the phone?

Genius ! I hook up a Digital Alarm Clock via a 4 meter HDMI cable. This YG 300 with its battery can last from 1 - 1.5 hrs. Just mount it on my bed head with Clams which I obtain from Office Works.
My Wi Fi Digital Alarm Clock comes with USB, HDMI, Optical and others ports which I have no idea what they are for but all understand they are all inputs. The best buy I ever did and the best place you can watch Movies, MP4 and even playback MP3 on Big Screen on the ceiling while in bed .. best position which you wont hurt your back or get sore on your neck.
