I went to a taping of The View 13 years ago. We were told what to wear, where to sit and when to clap, laugh, cheer and sigh. During the taping, there were no audience cell phones allowed, even on breaks. The hosts never engaged with the audience, sat for make up and checked their phones during commercials. After the show, they exited before anyone in the audience could leave. As we left, we were given a free book and $100 gift card to Rite Aid.
