Can I just say how amazing and professional the Ukrainian builders are. I am absolutely loving everything you are doing design wise.

Gardener here. When your tomatoes split like that it means they went to long without proper water and then were given excessive water. Causing them to grow to fast after sitting and growing to slow. Which is why it split the skin. Hope that helps sometimes a weeper hose on high water content plants is better than watering by hand. You run the hose set it to a timer and have it run for a nice amount of time (hours) since it only puts out a very small amount of water at a time. Less if it is rainy. I ran a garden and farm stand business offering a large variety. So we actually had 120 plants, so I am well versed and learned what is best for plants.

I hardly ever post a comment, but i would like to say that the progress you've made is phenomenal and super impressive! I believe all your hard work and careful planning will make it so worthwhile in the end. Blessings from South Africa 🇿🇦

Taking that historic water mill and transforming it into a tastefully designed residence is wonderful. Thanks for sharing it all on YouTube. And so cool that you are keeping the historic Mill Stone in place!!!

Portugese Tiles for the risers would be interesting on the stairs.

If you ever want to drill into your floor and need to find your in-floor heating tubes, turn on the heater and let the floor START to warm up, then use an infrared thermal temperature gun or better yet, an inexpensive infrared thermal imaging camera - you can detect the higher temperature of the coils versus the surrounding concrete/flooring.

Just dropped a glass baking dish on my ceramic floor. If you spend a lot of time standing in the kitchen, i would definitely go for wood. Wood gives such a wonderful warmth to a space. Same of the stairs. less breakage when you drop things too!

Don't know how you found all of your contractors, but they seem to be doing an amazing job. Everything is coming together perfectly. The proverbial elephant is getting smaller by the day. 💙🐘

What an intricate detailed web of wires and tubes for floor heat and electricity. These men are incredible and do an excellent job. It's very hard work. It all looks gorgeous. I would suggest the sharp corners on huge counter top be rounded a little so when you walk around you won't get a jab from one that will hurt. Your kitties are loving the land. So much fun to watch them. Thank you for sharing.💖💕💖🤗.

I live in Coastal northeast Florida, and I’m thinking about Drew‘s parents today. Thank you for the update yesterday. During hurricane Michael and Ian we were underwater. After Michael, a local contractor restored properties using marine lumber to replace the floor and to make wainescoating around the ground floor rooms. This is the same wood they use for boats. It is resistant to salt water intrusion. When these homes were flooded again during hurricane Ian, there was no restoration necessary, just cleanup, and allowing the wood to dry.

I know it's way to soon, but when you get finished and settle in, you might want to consider an open house and invite all the contractors who worked on the house both to show your appreciation and they can see how their work contributed to the finished product. Love you channel.

So different from American construction! As for the stairs, the island, backsplash and even the floor, Portugal has some amazing colored/painted tiles that are so beautiful and very part of Portuguese culture and history. Might be amazing to add those to the mill. I might also have stair carpet rod holders installed and put a raffia runner down those stairs for traction and safety.

Of course wood would be beautiful on the floor and stairs if it truly conducts the hydro heat well.

Polished concrete floors are lovely. My brother did one with stones from a river plus some colored glass. It looked gorgeous.

We installed heated floors and cork flooring in Illinois. Pricy but so worthwhile!! Feels like walking on a warm sandy beach in the winter months! Cork flooring is durable, quiet and softer on your feet than hard wood floors! Excellent choices!

Hey guys I have been watching this project from day one. What an amazing job you have done so far, any chance of a cost breakdown at some stage?
Keep up the good work and thanks for sharing your lives.
