3 kingdoms has the best diplomacy and I didn't expect such an in depth diplomacy system for a total war game.

Rome 2 had a horrible launch but i think its one of the best total war games.

Shogun 2 is my first total war campaign and I'm loving it so far.

Empire is one of favourites, mostly because of the time period but I really hope it gets a remaster or remake one day

Maybe I don't get the meme, but the first RTW, despite all the love I have for it, is probably the least historical of the total wars.

considering this video is even called "from historical fan POV", I can dig it
if there is any critique I can give it would be "and everything was lovely once again" should not be used if everything was lovely before, but should be saved for later.. maybe for Rome Remaster
But then again I am not a huge fan of rome remaster, it lost a lot of magic in it's UI and the units look more bland, less impressive, more difficult to differentiate. But that is just me having spend so much time on rome

Medieval 2 is a classic that is still unbeaten.

Scary, but I clocked over 3, 000 hours over several years for MTW2, barely played the base vanilla game, but I played a lot of the mods Stainless Steel and Divide and Conquer espeically during the pandemic.

The purists dislike 3K but like Troy? Nah don't agree with that assessment.

Thankfully, Rome 2 was improved over the years and I do enjoy the game quite a lot

As a 38 year old who started with Shogun at launch because I was into tabletop wargames...I have bought and loved all of them and will continue to do so.

The only problem for me with warhammer 1 and 2 are the siege battles. compared to previous titles it was not good.

Only real problem I have with the Warhammer titles is that it makes it hard for me to go back to Historical ones. The unit variety and the addition of monsters, flyers, and wizards has me spoilt. I'd be watching the chokepoint slugfest on a siege map and be thinking "I'd sure love some Warp Lightning right now".
