N0AGI - POCSAG & PAGER w/ an Encoder+Transmitter

A few months ago, I had purchased a POCSAG UHF encoder+Transmitter and a couple of matching pagers from a Taiwanese vendor. In this video I demonstrate how to connect this POCSAG Tx device to my PC and easily send a page using an app such as PuTTy. I also demonstrate how easy it is to build a simple C#.net console application to also send a page thru this POCSAG Tx device.

The Pager is a 4 line alpha-numeric page receiver end point device. The Encoder Transmitter is a 7W UHF device currently synthesized at 443.920Mhz.

I intend to using this pager and the transmitter rig and a much more elaborate C# app to monitor my HAM shack's up and downtime by keeping me informed via my own paging notifications.

I created a OneDrive share w/ the Taiwanese Pager details. I don't know if this seller still exists. But, the documentation should show where they can be found on the web. I had a tough time getting a response back from them the first time around. But, have been pretty prompt from thereon:

Link to Sample code and POCSAG Protocol Docs can be found here:
