Update Ford Sync 3 to 3.4 Guide (Mustang/Lincoln/etc.)

Upgrading any Sync 3.0 vehicle to the latest Sync 3.4 software. This is not a officially supported method by Ford, but allow us with older cars to get the latest software.

UPDATE (03/06/2020): So I have successfully downgraded from 19274 --> 19200 then used reformat tool and installed the latest 20021 file. It is working perfectly for me and has latest F19 maps! The links on the website have been updated so if you are following this video after 03/06/2020, you should end up with 20021. ALSO, once you update to 3.4, you CANNOT downgrade back to 3.0-3.2 series, just so let everyone know.

Worked in my 2015 F150. But, I did upgrade that truck to sync 3 when I got it as it came with sync 2.

Is there anyway to get Google maps to show on your digital dash if you have Apple CarPlay I don’t think it’s fair that only android auto can have that feature I wonder is there a work around that no one knows about or someone is working on to get Apple CarPlay maps to appear in your digital cluster on a mustang

What difference you see between sync 3 2.0 to 3.4?

I have a 2020 Lincoln navigator, but it seems to be running sync 3.0. When I tried to update it, it did not work as our wifi connection is weak. Any tips?

i installed 20021 ok but the latest 19274 not so good it did not complete it is hung up and there is no logos when starting or stopping the car

The download on the website are not working, says to many user download did. Ask admin. On step 2

So if you have a NA Non Nav car, you just need the 2 USB's correct ? 1 to put it into factory mode then the 2nd to load the base system.

Will the software know which car and features you are using? I have a heating steering wheel, will that option still be available?

I just did this on my 2016 mustang, but i noticed my heater stopped working drivers sided(RHD), blows cold. Passenger side works fine, might be coincidence timing wise with a blend door actuator going, Are both you climate controls for heat working fine?

Does the reformat tool work on my Sync. If i try to instal the original software from Ford, failed with the Error Code MEM_err01 ?

God knows why Ford arent offering this on earlier Sync 3 in the main just a heavy re-skin of 3.0 etc. Its so much nicer just in look and feel alone. Bit naughty really as its introducing built in obsolescence to earlier vehicles.

Somewhat the same thing with Fordpass little technical reason why Ford couldn't offer this as a retrofit for earlier vehicles in Europe like they have done in the this is something they'll look to do in time to

Got the first usb to work but I am having a problem extracting files to second usb I tried it the first tim and it never went to the next step do you have more detailed steps about extracting cant really see what your doing on your computer screen

ok, did this today. everything worked perfectly on my 2017 F250 . However, i do see the Lincoln Navigator logo when i start up ? anyone know quick fix for that ?
