This movie IS time travel. It was made 10 years ago but feels like it's from 10 years in the future. Way ahead of its time and endlessly rewatchable. A true masterpiece.

This film was so underrated by many because they think it's "just" a sci-fi film when it's really about the love of a father and how he gives up everything to try and save his children. He could have stayed and experienced his children growing up knowing their future is doomed or lose all that love to try and give them a future. Amazing film, in my top 5 of all time and the greatest soundtrack bar none (all hail Hans Zimmer).

I think canadian lads videos must be shown to all film making crew who worked countless hours on such fine details which some times go unnoticed and show them how grateful we are.

I think the last part with Tom is deeper than that. He got to see glimpses of Tom's life, knew he got married, had kids, etc. He knew his boy had turned out ok, which is all a parent can ever really want, but his daughter was still hurting, so he still had a job to do there.

another potential detail: in the scene where they drive home from the baseball game through the dust storm, listen to the sound of the dust slapping against the metal of their truck; then go to the scene where Cooper is going into the black hole - the sound design is extremely similar, and I'm pretty sure that's on purpose. another way to show how Cooper was made for this mission.

The fact that they created all the sets and no green screen deserves endless praise. Disney/ marvel should really take a page from Nolan’s book on this. Interstellar gives me chills everytime I watch.

Awesome, I lost count on how many times I watched this movie. I even watched the rerelease in IMAX. However, never noticed that he opened the door with his Left hand before leaving Earth and then when he’s in the Tesseract he opens the door with his right hand and never fully leaves the room to look at the book that fell. I also noticed that the book that fell at that point is “Flatland” by Edwin Abbott Abbott (1884) a book about higher dimensions. I absolutely love this move and you did an Amazing job! I appreciate the work you do!!!

Interstellar and Arrival are the two best sci-fi movies published during the last two decades. I’ve watch them both over and over again, still discovering new details. I just love those movies.

one of the most heart touching movies Christopher Nolan made in the history of Hollywood
the only sci-fi movie that made us cry

The man played a father, a farmer, an astronaut, a time traveler, a ghost, and an alien all in the same film roll.

...and he nailed it alright alright alright...

You missed the fact that the robot Tars was( had become ) selfware, and outed him self to cooper during a joke by forgetting to indicator light, and cooper said his secret was safe with him.

5:42 small nitpick but the reason why there is high heating and plasma during entry of an atmosphere is not due to friction it is air compression. As they are going around mach 20 hitting the air at this speed causes the air particles to get ionized and compressed forming a layer of hot hot plasma on the side that is interacting with the atmosphere.

The old man on the TV at 18:35 is actually Tom. The same old man in the beginning of the film that said "We had to set the cups and the plates upside down" Meaning he survived and made it to Cooper station to film that documentary.
