1966 Ford Galaxie 7-Litre Convertible

One of only 124 7-Litre Convertible Galaxies know to exist, this beautiful 1966 Galaxie is a two owner, same family since new.

A frame off restoration was completed in 2006. The Q- Code 428 Thunderbird V8, transmission and entire drive train were rebuilt. The frame was powder coated; stainless steel brake lines installed and all brake and suspension components were rebuild or replaced with new parts. The exhaust was upgraded to Hooker Headers and Stainless Steel Exhaust Pipes.

The body was disassembled taken to bare metal and repainted the original Candy Apple Red. The interior
is all original and in very good condition.

A restored 7-Litre Convertible was featured on Keith Martin's TV Program ("What's My Car Worth") then sold at RM Auctions Fort Lauderdale 3/4/2011 for a total of $71,500 including all bidder fees. Keith Martin felt it was a very nice car well sold and bought.

well apart from missing some of the badgeing stripes ect I find that engine noisey sounds like tappets are in need of work and I really like the power windows just like mine and when I checked some 30 years ago unless more came out of the woodwork there were only 87 7-liter rags known to exist and that info was from the galaxie owners of america

Need that trunk speak across the back to complete the exterior trim. Both the Galxie XLs and 7-Litres had them, except the emblems were different. Its expensive, around $500 used and $2500 NOS.

Also missing the 7 Litre emblem on the front grille...and the pinstripes on the side.

Hi, i´m  from Brazil, and i´m making a galaxie´s brother here,   mine is a Ford Landau 1976 with V8 302 engine, I will turn it a four door in two doors convertible, I really need to know  the door size that i can cut rear door and weld in front door to make it longer just like your galaxie 66 car, if you could measure for me i´ll be very very happy. You can see my progress in Facebook name  "Aline Martins''. Please i´don´t know where else i can get this information. PS: here in Brazil there is no two doors  galaxie, all made here are four doors.  Thank you
