Quick demonstration of how to use the SolisTek SE/DE Matrix (ST1001LCD) Remote Control (RC1001).

Notes:
- It is important to note that remote communication is only one way. Remote to Ballast.

- One remote control can operate as many SE/DE Matrix units you have.

- The remote controller works with line of sight. The idea is similar to having 1 remote control for multiple TV’s of the same model. All ballasts in line of sight with the remote will receive the sync signal.

- The OFF function can only be set during FREE MODE.

- When the ballast is turned off, the timer is effectively turned off as well. Reprogram the timer using the remote control by touching ‘SYNC/SEND’ while on timer mode.

The following is a list of error codes that the ballast will detect. If all of a sudden the ballast is giving an error code, the lamp may have lost functionality integrity, a new lamp should be installed.

E-01 - Over Voltage
E-02 - Under Voltage
E-03 - Over Heat
E-04 - Open Circuit
E-05 - Short Circuit

If the ballast encounters any error, it will attempt to restrike the lamp every 90 seconds.

Why is it I constantly get error 4 and error 5 when I use the solis Tech splitter and two 600 watt 10000 Kelvin metal halide bulbs for finishing. It does not have a problem at all pushing 2 600w HPS bulbs. What is going on is the ballast on its way out or is it just a cannot power the metal halide at that Kelvin. It seems like oil drops form inside the metal halide Arc tube and that is what I think is shorting it out. Other than that I have no idea. I've tried new bulbs. No difference
