this is the only explanation that made sense to me. None of the others mention TAB, G, Y (G, Z).

IF YOUR OBJECT IS DIFFERENT SIZES. Select both objects... CTRL + A... APPLY SCALE.

hello, when i click "offset" and select "empty" in modify panel, the object(cube, sphere), the object will generate several copies of different sizes, I don’t know what went wrong

I wonder why they wouldn't just create a circular array modifier rather than having a workaround.
circular arrays are crucial for modelling symmetrical patterns which a LOT of ppl are doing.

When I rotate the empty around the Z axis it just results in my mesh rotating around the empty, without any array appearing. I followed all of your instructions except I selected a count of 20 instead of 12

my array makes wierd things when i tick the object offset box in the array menu

Every time I put the eye drop on the empty object the second cube just jumps there and I don’t know why

As soon as I click the eyedropper on the empty it adds another object to the centre point (empty) then rotates around this. I applied scale to both empty and object beforehand. I cannot delete the second object without the original going too. This is version 2.9
