Who won the matchup? Anquan Boldin (WR) or Julian Edelman (DB)

bro like Edelman brings a whole new meaning to "work ethic", this dude studied the game so much that he could play all 3 sides of the ball lmao

For those who don't know...but Boldin is one of the toughest WR /people of all time. To watch Julian hit him and knock the ball out....two ballerz going at it...

O.M.G. I knew he played CB in a game… but I didn’t know he was guarding Boldin the whole time. Edelman played damn good imo

He played cornerback most of the year! Matthew Slater played safety that year as well. If the defense would've been better that team probably goes undefeated. The offense was virtually unstoppable!

As a Ravens fan I still have trauma from this game, the dropped TD and the missed FG are so hard to think about

Speaking of being GOATED, in Edelman’s 19 career playoff games, HE TALLIED 118 catches for 1, 442 yards and seven touchdowns. My guy got more receiving yards an catches in the playoffs then every player in LEAGUE HISTORY not named Jerry Rice and is tied with Michael Irvin & Travis Kelce for the second-most 100-yard games in the postseason with six🤷‍♂️🐐

If I had to play a game with 11 of the same guys on the field... I'm going with Edelman. One of the best overall football players you'll ever see. Underappreciated. Some just as tough, but none tougher. Guy had to fight every step of the way in his life, and he did it every time. This is a guy who could never afford to take a day off, because he would have been cut.
When Belichick called him when he got drafted, he said "We don't know what you're gonna play... but you can play". Damn straight.

He also put WR Troy Brown on CB duty in the early 2000’s.

Crazy that bill did it late game in a huge game and put him on a good WR and played man.

The absolute disrespect boldin must have felt to be covered by another receiver

Two very versatile beasts. Boldin also played qb in highschool and had to play a bit at FSU when qb was hurt in bowl game. Edelman also was a qb in college. Just great football players and athletes

I think Edelman is probably my favorite NFL player of all time. Just such a tough, hardnosed dude.

Edelman’s catch against the Falcons in the Super Bowl, where he double clutched the ball like an inch from the ground to actually SECURE the catch was one of the most ridiculous and simultaneously clutch catches I’ve EVER seen in my entire life

Arguably the most heartbreaking game in ravens history

Coach: What position do you play?
Edelman: Football.

I seen Billy Cundiff & just put my head down. When he kicked that kick everyone was like ….

Fun fact: When Julian Edelman lined at CB in this game, it remains the most recent time a white guy played any snaps at corner in the NFL. Not joking.

(The last white CB in the NFL was Jason Sehorn in 2004)
