I am trying to use Guix as a package manager on an old piece of hardware (Pinephone) and it unfortunately keeps freezing on guix pull since it takes up a ton of resources. Or at least, that's my experience.

the guix package system is super slow, everything that I install take a lot of time and download a lot of software.
Is that normal? there is a way to solve that?

When I look at this video I feel like there might be no sudo command but it seems like they replaced it by the guix command.

Wearing a Rocky Linux hat, I'll stop watching yhe video because I still don't see a CIQ or Rocky Linux team member contributing to the CentOS Stream repository like they claim that they do.
This is why redhat quite distributing their source code btw.
