Star Wars Battlefront: Death Star Launch Trailer

Coming in September, Season Pass holders will receive our third digital expansion pack, Star Wars Battlefront: Death Star. Players will experience five new maps – on ground and in space – new weapons and Star Cards and two new heroes, the fearsome bounty hunter Bossk and everyone’s favorite Wookiee, Chewbacca.

Board the Death Star and blast foes with the new K-16 Bryar Pistol or TL-50t Heavy Repeater. Take your Starfighters to space in an all-new game mode and even hop into the cockpits of Darth Vader’s TIE Advanced or Luke Skywalker’s Red Five X-Wing. If the Force is strong with you, attempt a trench run to take down the Empire’s ultimate weapon.

This Battle Station mode most interesting. Fighting inside the Death Star while going through the tench run is pumping me up. Shame that we don't have Obi-Won Kenobi instead of Chewbacca. But I'll enjoy it so far.

I understand why DLC exists and I actually think it's quite healthy for the gaming industry, however when it comes to DLC with regards to EA they are worst. They'll release most of the content in DLC and charge the same price as the base game. Like SERIOUSLY, how can you make a Star Wars game based entirely on the original trilogy and not have the original game feature the Death Star or Bespin? I think there is a right balance between business and fan service when it comes to the mix between base game and DLC, but to give perspective EA are far too business orientated and someone like CD projekt red are, if anything, too far towards fan service. Just a thought EA, try and find the balance.

It's not the proper space combat we saw in SWBF2. It's just fighter squadron with a different backdrop and some new stuff added.

The next Battlefront I want to see a return to the old content. Multiple eras like the Clone Wars for example. Class system, vehicles that don't require tokens. Actual space combat where the player can CHOOSE to storm the cruiser. Maybe mix both ground and space together and make a game mode where the losing teams cruiser falls out of space and lands on the planet creating a Levolution-esque type of environment.

Please do this DICE. You have the resources and the manpower. Don't be lazy
