I add the water to the uncooked meat first and blend it in, then add the spices then put it in the pot to cook.

wow a recipe video that doesn't give you the recipe instead gives you a headache from flipping out and back so fast. - kind of a waste of time. If the recipe is written down I apologize but I couldn't find it and you really shouldn't have to look that hard for it. video is a fail.

Why do none of these chili recipes brown the meat properly? Cook the meat til the excess water evaporates and the meat can actually brown, not boil!
