The Democratic Party is in the process of determining how it should move forward after President-elect Donald Trump's sweeping election victory. The Republican Party has also won unified power in Washington, D.C., grabbing majorities in both the Senate and the House. Democratic Rep. Ro Khanna of California joins "America Decides" to discuss where his party went wrong.

It’s not just the economics. The democrats need to sit in on school boards. We want normalization. Students need to feel safe in school. They don’t need to have sexual intelligence in elementary school; it’s not developmentally appropriate. We need legal immigration. My grandparents came to this country and entered legally. We need politicians that listen to the voice of the people or vote them out. The people have the power to change by voting! To ignore what the majority wants shows you do not care and you have an agenda you want in place. Politicians need to look at the research. Has communism failed? Yes, then why attempt to put these failed policies into practice. Has socialism been a success in Europe? No! Has Europe changed it mind on transitioning minors?

it seems easy for some of the Democrats who won to come on news channels and talk about why their party lost. if these people already knew of the issues, why didn't they speak up, provide support, and advice, and make their party win. They were only looking out for their seat/win. if the party won, these same people will be singing a different song.
