I am totally for right to die. I lost my husband to cancer when he was 29 and it was a horrible torturous death. He suffered and should have had the right to not suffer so greatly. My 5 children and I will be forever haunted with what my best friend and great love suffered. He was an amazing daddy an amazing husband a truly amazing human. This should have been his choice. Why is it we are ok with putting an animal down because of a broken leg that might be an expensive fix, but we are ok with a terminal human suffering

It’s your life NO ONE SHOULD TELL YOU HOW TO LIVE OR DIE.

Watched my mom pray for death because she was in a lot of pain with brain cancer. So was a nurse and was begging my wife and I to give her said meds so she could pass.

It's a pity( As far as I remember, in House M. D. somebody said that cancer is the most comfortable death for social life, because the person who had diagnosed with cancer would have enough time to say goodbye to relatives and parking all activities in right way.

If I end up with Alzheimers I absolutely want to be able to arrange to be put to rest when my mind has degenerated enough.

We already hadn’t a choice to be born into this world, Can’t we have a right to die with dignity?

“If you could design your own death, what would the experience be like”. This is the takeaway of this talk. Why should we not choose how we die? Why is it anyone else’s decision. I know it is complicated with the need to protect our elderly that often develop cognitive issues. But there are ways we can enact laws and policies to go forward with death with dignity.

No one has a right to die. Your life is not your own, it belongs to the Lord

As someone who has considered suicide many times, the considerations I always think of are: How painful will it be, how fast will it be, & how distressing will it be. I have settled on a few methods that, while relatively distressing, would be extremely fast and as painless as one could imagine death to be from the function of speed. They are: shotgun slug to the head, fired at the base of the skull on a horizontal plane, long drop hanging from such a height that would result in decapitation, and guillotine. One outlier is carbon monoxide poisoning (a tank of pure CO hooked up to a mask like they use to administer drugs in the hospital). It is a bit less certain, and takes a much longer amount of time, but would likely be a noticeable degree less distressing.

What I've noticed in my considerations is that deaths that seem gruesome feel much more humane than a cocktail of IV drugs that, in it's complexity, leaves significant room for error. What I want for my death more than all else is lack of pain, speed, and certainty and sometimes, much more "violent" methods yield those results better than a more sterile, medical idea of a "good death".

Why don't we instead focus on improving our medicines to help and cure patients and to improve the general lifespan of people?

Condoning people to choose when to end their lives isn't going to make losing loved ones easier. It's going to make it more common.

AI will replace those design specialists... I'd die fighting terminators and skynet

I would choose songs and things that were important to me and an outfit that I like and have my favorite things. I’ve thought about it because my daughter has nearly died so many times and watching Alzheimer’s take my grandma so cruelly and slowly. We should because we do this for our animals why not for our loved ones and ourselves

This is illegal in most states because the insurance industry would loose too much. And the states it is legal in it is almost impossible to come across as sane...
