are these "delivery" numbers calculated the same as most manufacturers where the vehicle is considered "sold" when it is shipped to the dealership, even though it just sits on the lot?

Phil isn't even close when he says BYD electric sales. "We're not talking hybrids. These are pure EVs."
BYDs pure EV sales Q1 was 300, 114. Their hybrid sales were 324k. I have no idea where Phil's number comes from. Maybe a different quarter.
