I bought a half price brand new iPhone in 2018, a brand new iPhone at 30% off in 2019 and another brand new half price iPhone in 2022. For the last year I have been looking for a discounted new iPhone but have only seen them at 10% off. Apple is becoming greedy again and so my family has mostly switched to buying brand new half price Pixel phones which are much cheaper than iPhones even before any discount.

If Apple sales are falling it presages the recession we are long over due (15-20 year cycle because that is a generation who didn't understand last time). If price was the driver and media hype no longer cuts it, or when people switch to a cost decision, citing features that can not be used are no longer There are other indicators of a downturn, this may be just another one. It happens slowly, but realisation kicks-in overnight.
