For anyone wondering where this hose leads to. when you take off the top beauty cover and expose the fuel rail, you will see a metal vacuum line that runs on top of the fuel rail. The fuel pressure regulator hooks on the rail end towards the firewall. and the rail end on the front of the engine connects to the CCV. Again this is only on M52TU engines as they have a different setup than the m54 engines as the fuel pressure regulator hooks onto the upper intake boot.

In case anyone stumbles on this video. The hose from the pressure regulator goes back up to the intake manifold. It hooks up under the manifold approximately behind the throttle body but on the inside surface of the manifold facing the passenger side. This is where the regulator obtains vacuum. The 96+ E36 has the same setup.

Hey I am changing my fpr today on my 2000 323i .is it as simple as taking off that clip with a flat head, disconnect vacuum hose and pull out old regulator and push in new 1 ?does alot of gas come out.did u depressureise anything by. Because I just want to lift the car up and replace
