Curling from the ends up is the best way to fry your ends and have your curls not last. You want the thickest part of your hair on the iron first... Start at the root .... If your roots won't hold the entire curl falls.

I have one like those, it rotates and it’s like a small round circle around so that the curls stay, hold it on for 10-20 seconds and you have curls 🧍‍♀️
