Plunge Cuts with a Standard Straight Bit - Quick Tip

Because there is no cutting surface on the tip of a standard straight bit, they cannot be plunged into the work to make a cut. Here's a quick work around you can use if you're ever in a situation where you need to make a plunge cut but don't have a plunge bit.

Hello. I am totally new to routers so I've been watching a lot on youtube of it, wanting to soak in everything that I can. I've never seen this mentioned before.
