Glad to hear this worked out Mr. Pete. Personally, I don't like elec-trickery. It's sneaky, it's leaky and it's just plain terrible if you get some on you. Its amazing how hard something you can't even see can bite you.

I agree with the sentiments of not taking down what you call temporary video's all the time. You think this is not polished, but what most see is a genuine person speaking truth in a sincere way. Not the same as selling tools or directing people to ebay etc.. I'd say let it be. Thanks for sharing the follow up.

Great that you found some knowledgeable help Mr. Pete! Got some good folks on here that watch your videos. Just goes to show one can always learn something from other people if you sometimes just ask for help. Knowledge is wealth and asking for it takes some degree of humility. I've wired several different drum switches for different machines over time, but always have to try and remind myself what I am doing because I don't do it every day, so I forget and have to start over or find some notes that I forgot where I put them so I could lose them. You're a good man Mr. Pete and will probably never run out of folks willing to help you when you need it most.

Congrats! By asking for assistance, help, You showed Your quality! Admitting a weakness is strength!
My lathe should only run forward due to a crappy Chinese switch. Sometimes it's necessary to apply pressure on the switch for running.... Change it? Some day but the control box is in plastic and loosening and tightening screws there has a risk, the risk that the cover needs duck tape to stay in place when the threads have changed into straight holes...
