Botch - An Anthology of Dead Ends (Full Album - HQ)

This is my second favorite botch record. It is almost better than we are the romans, but that record will always have a special place in my heart. This album is so beef yet thought-provoking. The biggest surprise is the track Afghamistan. The coolest part is that it's only 20 minutes, so there's no filler, no padded song length, just 20 minutes that will pound your skull.

Album was ripped as a wav from the physical CD, and rendered in a video file with lcpm encoding @ 48k Hz. (my program wouldn't allow 44.1k) No equalization. I've gotten over that phase.

I have listened to Afghamistam dozens of times, and I've only just now noticed the whispered vocals in the right channel. As if it didn't give me shivers already!

A buddy of mine told me Botch layed out so much, for so many bands to go off of. Ever since he told me that, I keep hearing shining examples. Recently discovered early Norma Jean is basically Botch. I'd say less obvious examples include Tony Danza Tapdance Extravagnaza and Frontierer. Still, Botch is in there somewhere.

It's such a shame Botch broke up before this even came out. It really shows where the band was heading (musically speaking), and they would probably make even more great releases if they were still around.
